What happens to my files if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. An account over its quota simply cannot upload anything new — you keep every file you already have, you can still download and delete them, and uploading works again as soon as you are back under the limit. Cancelling a plan has never deleted a file here and is not going to start.

Can Leumas read my files?

Files are stored as you uploaded them, on Leumas-operated disk, and staff can technically reach that disk — anyone claiming otherwise about ordinary cloud storage is describing encryption they have not built. What we do not do is index the contents: search matches file names and folders only. If you want files nobody but you can read, encrypt them first at encrypt.leumas.tech and upload the container.

How much storage do I get?

One gigabyte free with any Leumas account, and more with a plan — see the pricing page for the current ladder. Extra room past your plan is bought in ten-gigabyte blocks with Leumas tokens, and blocks stack on top of the plan rather than replacing it.

Does deleting something free up space straight away?

Accepted Answer

No, and we would rather say so than round it off. Deleting moves a file to the trash, where it stays for thirty days so you can undo a mistake — and the bytes are still on the disk for that whole time, so they still count against your quota. Emptying the trash is what actually frees the room.

How do share links work?

Accepted Answer

A share link is a long random URL to one file. You can give it an expiry date, a password and a download limit, and you can revoke it at any moment without changing anything about the file. Revoking is instant and complete: the link stops working for everybody who has it. That is different from making a file public, which is a permanent, un-revocable address that anyone can pass on.

Is there an API?

Yes, and it is the same one the site itself uses. Every route is documented on the API page and reachable with your Leumas session or an agent key; there is nothing this site can do that a script cannot.
